A reason to be in the backyard
― What it feels like

Twenty steps to the back nine.

Struck properly, a putt on one of our greens rolls with that low, even hush you only get on a maintained course, and it holds its line the whole way to the cup.

Within a week you know the break, the pace and the two-footers. That is when it stops being a novelty and starts sharpening your short game.

― What goes into it

Built like a green, not a lawn.

A putting surface is only as true as the base under it. This is what we build into every one.

01

Designed contours

Breaks and slopes are shaped into the sub-base, not faked on top, so the ball takes the same line every time.

02

A true roll

Putting-grade turf and a screeded base give a stimp of 9 to 11, with a pace that feels like a course, not a carpet.

03

Regulation cups

Cups sized and placed for your yard, with enough room between pins that you can change the hole whenever you like.

04

A fringe that holds a chip

A collar of fringe turf around the green so you can practise chipping and not just putting.

05

A base that drains

Compacted, graded granular base, the same as our lawns, so it is playable from the first thaw.

― Sizes

What fits in your yard.

01

The corner green

An unused corner is enough for real putts with a couple of pins and a gentle break. This is where most people start, and it fits in nearly every city lot.

02

The one that changes your game

Bigger, with genuine contour and putts coming from several angles. Long enough that you can practise lag putting properly, and varied enough that you never get bored of it.

03

Green and chipping area

The full setup: a green plus a landing area to hit wedges into. Needs a larger yard or an acreage, and it's the one families use the most.

What our clients say.

"

I highly recommend Brick Lawn Landscaping. They were AMAZING start to finish. They removed all our dead sod from 3 dogs and installed turf and it looks fantastic. Job was done on time, did everything perfect, great communication, went over everything and at a great price too!

Had Ben and his crew replace a 10' x 10' patio that had slumped/ sunk after some concrete work done. The finished result was very nice, level and clean looking. Very happy with result. Did the job in just over one day. I would have them do any stone work for me in the future.

― FAQ

Green questions

Most people say yes. You putt every day instead of ten minutes before a round, and the short ones stop being nervous ones.

It usually becomes where everyone hangs out. Kids, grandkids, and the friends who say they don't golf and then won't hand the putter back.

Smaller than you'd think. An unused corner is enough for a green you'll use every day. We'll come look and tell you what fits.

That's the part we design hardest. With a fringe, a clean edge and planting around it, it looks like it belongs there.

Longer than the golf season. It dries fast, so you're putting before the courses open and well into the fall.

Blow the leaves off. We come by and brush it up and top up the sand a couple of times a season.

Tell us where you want the pins.

We will walk the yard, work out how much green fits, and sketch the contours before anything is priced. Bring your putter to the site visit if you want to talk pace.
